Conflict Desert Storm II is a tactical shooter video game developed by Pivotal Games and published by SCi. it was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. It is the second installment in the Conflict series.
Conflict Desert Storm is set during the Persian Gulf War and is based on the covert operations of 'Alpha One', a four-man special forces team of either the British SAS or US Delta Force. The player can control one member at a time but can also give remote commands to other squad members. It is possible for two players to play simultaneously, each controlling two soldiers. Up to four can play in the GameCube and Xbox versions.
The player can use different tactics, such as focusing on a head on approach or by using stealth against a variety of forces from the Iraqi military. Experience garnered by each member of the team over time results in promotions and medals awarded for distinguished conduct during missions. Several licensed weapons and vehicles such as the M16 Assault Rifle or Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle are also usable in-game. Different orders, such as "follow me" or "fire at will" can be given to the soldiers not being controlled by the player, who can switch control between them at will.
Each member of the four man team specialises in a specific role. For example, Foley is the designated marksman and expert sniper, and is therefore the ideal choice for stealth engagements. Whereas Bradley is the team lead and radioman - facilitating the ability to call in air-strikes when needed.
Conflict Desert Storm 2 is based on an amazing plot and story. There are small missions that will start but from time to time these missions will get bigger according to your skills. The war is based on desert. So sometimes you may not know from where the enemies are coming. Because it is really hard to find your enemy in that light color. The interesting fact is that you can use any kind of weapons. You can run any kind of machine. Some of the machine are dependent on the soldiers but you can also choose the soldier from the squad of four at any time. The more interesting feature of this game is that it is not that difficult to operate your men and the player screen window is clear most of the times.
